Varfolomeyev signs new Lincoln deal
Lincoln midfielder Ivan Varfolomeyev has signed a new contract keeping him at the ProAmpac Stadium until 2030.
The midfielder is currently away on international duty with the full Ukraine squad for the first time.

Eriksen leaves Wolfsburg by mutual consent
Wolfsburg have confirmed that Christian Eriksen has left the club by mutual consent.
Eriksen collapsed on the pitch for a second time during the summer while playing for Denmark against Ukraine in an international friendly.
He has not played since the incident occurred three months ago.

'Villa begin contract talks with Buendia'
Aston Villa have opened contract talks with Emi Buendia, according to the Daily Mail.
The 29-year-old has entered the final year of his deal at the club.
Buendia spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen and looked set to leave the club last summer.
However, the Argentina playmaker has since become a vital part of Unai Emery's plans, scoring in the Europa League final to help Villa beat Freiburg 3-0 back in May.
In 2025/26, Buendia scored six goals and added two assists in 36 Premier League appearances.
